PROBLEM: Was getting a periodic audio lag with a low buzz, lasting for about a second, every so many minutes. I have a Netgear wireless router that is 2 years old WNR1000v2.
I knew it had to do with my adapter, which was bent. So got a new Netgear WNA3100 wireless adapter (aka N-300), but once connected had extremely slow down-/upload times (1-2). So found out from Netgear service, that they could download their latest "firmware" program into my router and make it function much better. Had to first download it thru the modem, then into the router.
Now my computer works super fast, and the audio lag/buzz appears to have disappeared, and so have other recent issues, such as slow page loading.
